Requip is a non-ergot dopamine D2 - D3 recoptor agonist similar in action to pramipexole (Mirapex). It is available in the UK but I don't think in the US. Expect nausea at first but that should go away. It is prescribed almost exclusively for Parkinsons so this is an unusual choice for an antidepressant by your doctor. Do you know why your doctor chose to use this medicine? I am very interested in peoples personal expereinces with Requip. Would you keep us updated on the babble board as to how your husband responds to Requip.

Thank you.
