Kelly,

How is it everyone at work knows why you were out?

When you use the word "nuts" it obviously has a negative, judgmental connotation. Is this how YOU feel about having problems? Do you know for sure that your coworkers have a judgmental attitude? Is it ALL of them? Can you identify which ones won't have a judgmental attitude? Is this just what you are afraid of?

I agree the transition back is a hard one to face. Set your expectations for yourself low and slow. Get back into the groove of it gradually.

You have a very hard job.

Why did you previous doc think it was a bad profession for you? Is it the emotional burden because of the illness and end of life problems and death? If so, I would agree, you should start thinking about an environment that would help you feel less burdened.

Is there anything you find fulfilling about your job?

BTW, how long were you out, may I ask?
