I have had intermittent memory issues, nothing major. On regular effexor, I had profuse sweating. Other people have reported drowsiness, and high blood pressure.

I feel energized, and don't have the urinary urgency I had with Serzone. Of all the AD's I tried, I think Serzone and Effexor-XR have been the most side-effect-free for me. Serzone helped more with social anxiety, but Effexor-XR seems to help more with decreasing obsessing and ruminating. I hope I can ask my psychdoc about combining the two, next visit.--Cindy WI see a Psychiatrist for anxiety/stress. He recommended 37.5mg of Effexor XR a day. This is half the starting dose. He told me that only small amounts of Effexor are needed to reduce anxiety and increasing the dose can actually negate the anxiety reduction benefit.
