> 1 more quick question, I am a 17 year old 180lb male. I have pretty bad adhd, how much adderall do you suggest? will the side effects go away after a few weeks of consistant use. Does it make you have tingles in your hear? Is that the stimulant effect everyone talks about?
in response to all your postings.....
It's good to get informed on this stuff, you may try some of the pharmacy websites that provide drug specific information. (AS long as the homework is done--smile...)But, You also need to write out all your questions and speak to your doc. It seems we all have different experiences from these drugs and the combos therein. also you have not said how long you have been on these medications. As for me--I am 40 and jsut diagnosed with ADD (and likely SOME "h") a few months ago. I started taking 10 mg aderral twice a day and worked up to my present 20 mg twice a day. A friend, who is a male and closer to your size--maybe a bit heavier, takes 30mg twice a day. At first, I was a wreak, shakey and trembling. Now, it seems to have no effect, though I think it works and do not feel a need to take more. I think the body somehow finds the right level. I also have taken another SSRI, Zoloft, for years and take Wellbruitrin too. I don't think in my case there were interactions, or at least now that I am settled on all three meds, I do not see any. Except that I barely eat anything since going on the aderall. As for the SSRI's--some are better on different conditions. I was put on Zoloft many years ago for panic disorder. at that time, the choices in this drug class were prozac and zoloft, and my doc felt zoloft was better for panic disorder. Good luck.
