You know me, Empress of the Outline...
I highly recommend making outlines, and *especially* organizational charts, for the website. What I always did (and do, when I actually get off my lazy last-end-over-the-fence to put up a website) is to make a formal organizational chart that shows the links between pages. Start at the top with the home page, then show the next level of pages as assistants, etc. It makes it ever so much easier.
My problem with websites has always been, and probably will always be, that I have virtually no visual imagination! I can do all the coding and organizing and all that -- but have no idea whatsoever how to make a visually appealing site. The upside of that, of course, is that my sites tend to be low bandwith, and easy to read and navigate... {sigh} Oh, well. As a visual designer, I make a great coder...
Your job sounds like a great experience. That's the sort of thing I always loved -- a certain level of autonomy, variety, and something you care about. I hope you find that it continues to be good -- and that you find a way around that commute. Weren't you looking to move house to be nearer?
Good to hear from you, Miss Prince.
