My therapist suggested that I draw mandalas one year. I think I did a series of about 20 of them, starting around the
Christmas season and finished my first one on New Year's Eve. I found it very relaxing. All you need is a circle on a piece of paper and you can get as elaborate as you like.I saw a mandala a couple of years ago that a student did out of collected leaves, berries, twigs etc. from the woods. (Use your bottle caps from your placebo drunk!)
I used india ink, acrylic and watercolor paints, and pastels. My therapist draws mandalas in the sand on the beach. Don't worry about making it look official. A mandala can be whatever you want it to be...
