I agree. As an untrained user of MS products, I figured out on my own how to use excel to manage information in tables, and to make tables and charts of various kinds using data entered into excel tables. I know I'm only using a tiny fraction of Excel's capabilities but it's amazing what it will do even with the little that I know how to use. It gives you all kinds of choices for how you want your data illustrated, and you can change the formats to suit your needs. It makes really pretty graphs and charts, btw.
