(Must be feeling better, huh? RANTING about something...)
(And pity those who've received emails from me. I do, and I'm the one writing 'em...)
OK, this is actually very short:
Racer's Rule For Pharmacies: "Hire qualified staff, which includes linguistic ability and basic telephone skills."
I just called Walgreen's, because the new pdoc prescribed Cymbalta, to make sure our usual branch had it before my husband went to pick it up tonight. Cross my heart: had to speak to two people before I could explain the concept of "Stock Check" to them. "No, you haven't received the prescription yet -- I just want to know if you've received the drug, which only received FDA approval about two weeks ago. You know, find out if your branch has any before we drive over there?" (Mind you -- the route to get there? One of the *most* notorious traffic hassles in the area -- anytime after about 3PM? Count on stop and go traffic making the -- maybe -- five miles into a drive of more than an hour. Oh, yeah -- let's just say I contribute the "directions" ability in our marriage. I blame it on his having grown up upside down, being south of the equator. He's a bit less generous about it...)
So, there's a Rantlet from Racer. Maybe it'll make you laugh, maybe it'll irritate you -- but I'm glad to be feeling as if it's worth communicating something to someone again. Guess that's a sign, eh?
Oh, yeah -- cross your fingers on the Cymbalta for me? I'm feeling *very* mixed about trying it.
