Squirrelly

Posted by allisonm on August 21, 2003, at 13:15:11

This is trivial compared with most people's situations, but I just found out yesterday that my cat is diabetic. It is driving me crazy (so to speak). He is spending today at the animal hospital being monitored and they are doing more tests. When I get him home, I will have to give him daily insulin shots and eventually will have to monitor his blood glucose levels once the vet gets them stabilized.

I have all sorts of school work to do before the weekend and before school starts next week. All I seem to be able to do is hop around the house doing stupid little things that I only get half way through doing before I get bored or distracted and cannot do it anymore. I need to focus on the *real* work I need to do, but so far have not been able to touch it.

I know my cat will be OK, but I am worried anyway. He has been such a friend in past hard times. I don't know what I'll do without him. I'm already not doing well, and he's just out for the day.
