I take my time getting ready, so I get to work usually about 3:45-4:00. I don't start working until 4:30 or 5:00, so that gives me time to get my coffee (gotta have that, right?), check my email, check here and another site I go to and leave a few posts. I really come in so early because I have the second worst commute in the Bay Area and if I don't leave when I do, a 35 minute drive turns into at least an hour and a half. Those of us with anxiety and road rage don't do well with that stuff. It also lets me leave work at 2pm and I miss most of the traffic coming home. The only downside is I'm usually ready for bed by 7...
Great news about your Mom! I'm glad to hear it wasn't an ulcer. With everything else she has going on, she didn't need that too. You know, if you really feel like you need to be there, then you should go. But I think she would tell you, she sounds like a pretty straight-forward person to me. Your brother may just be needing moral support right now and that's what you're hearing on the phone. And you can give that over the phone. I'm sure you already have been. Just take some VERY deep breaths and do what you think is best...
Thinking about you,
Greg
