I've been riding since I was 5 years old, and about a year or 2 ago I sprayed my horse with conditioner before saddling and tightening her girth. As I was cantering a jogger came to close, spooked my horse and the same thing happened- the saddle slid and off I fell. My horse was trained well enough to stand patiently while I unsaddled her and then got spooked again (I don't know maybe a fly flew by) and off she went, and I walked 3 miles home in riding boots carrying her saddle and crying all the way (pride more then pain). When I got back she was contentingly eating our lawn and I just burst out laughing. See- it happens to everyone- good for you for getting back on! Take care-judy
