Oh, Bob, about the CPAP. It is very common for people to find that they have ripped the mask off in their sleep, in the beginning. It takes getting used to. Do you have a good durable equipment tech who will let you call with questions? Sometimes the mask is not the right fit, etc. But for now, it is probably still an issue of getting used to it. Learning how to breathe against the pressure took some gettingused to for me. And in the beginning, your chest might ache because you are actually building up muscles to exhale against the pressure. After a few weeks, you will hardly notice the pressure, and your chest muscles will be stronger. I hope you will visit the sleep forum site, it is a great place to get advice. YOu can search the archives by topic.
