I spent the first week at Reboxetine 4mg/day. The past 10 days at 8mgs daily, split in two doses.
First, the wonderful side effects:
1) Lightheadness (dizziness) each time dose increased, went away after a few days. Now I feel almost normal. Maybe the slightest trace of lightheadedness, but this definitely cleared over time.
2) Insomnia is still a problem, but getting better. Using tranqs, I get 5 to 7 solid hours a night, but how many hours I get is unpredictable. Obviously, I feel much better after a 7-hour night.
3) Rebox wins the Miss Congeniality award for Most Constipating Antidepressant Ever. The usual OTC methods have barely touched the problem. My doc gave me a more heavy-duty prescription med for this problem.
4) Some libido has returned. Impotence no longer total. Since there's no one in my life to be disappointed, not a major problem yet.
Of course, offsetting the side effects should be be results. Still no mood improvement. I don't give a damn about anything. I've had slightly more social contact, thought I can't say the Rebox has anything to do with it. My pdoc encourages me to give it a full month at the 8mg dose before making judgments. Even then, we could still move it up to 12mg/day, or try augmenting with an SSRI. Great, another drug trial that turns into a half-year event.
Well, that's the latest for everyone who's been interested in Reboxetine.
Stuck
merry merry and all that
