> I don't know if anyone can help me with this, but I thought I would try anyhow. My doctor is useless! I started Celexa 12/7 for major depression. I've had it since I was 12 and am now 33. It seemed I was feeling better last week, which I know you don't usually see improvement until 2 weeks, but I know last week some of the dismay and bleakness I was feeling seemed to clear a bit. That is, until Monday, 12/20. The past two days I felt terrible again. I wished I was dead and I had to force myself into work and to do even minute things. I should also mention that my monthly cycle came Monday. Now today I feel a little better again and I'm afraid of hoping. Has anyone had this happen? I've lived with depression for so long and it has taken such a toll on my life and ruined so many relationships. I swear I would do anything to escape it.

Hey, A similar thing happened with me. I felt AMAZING on my second day of celexa. it also lasted about two or three weeks and the i got all depressed and
so also got discouraged about the drug. the good news is that it's been about three months now and while i dont
feel as elated as i did at the beginning (i thought i was just flying, it was almost
like being high) I feel much happier, more stable and even than i did
before i started. try to hang in there for a few moree weeks because it will probably smooth out.
good luck and hope you feel better. oh yeah, celexa also
helped quite a lot with my pms. but it took a few cycles.
be nice to yourself and take it easy.
