I'm not sure if it is my response that you are referring to, but I'm guessing that it is. As I said before, I unfortunately have no idea what might be causing your problem. Insomnia is a common concern for many people, including those who suffer from depression. However, you are describing a single event, where everything went black and then your ears started ringing. I am speculating in the most amateurish way that maybe the problem could be neurological in origin, but your doctor will know far better than me, and will probably have a better sense of what specialist to send you to. It seems to me you should see a sleep specialist if you can, since insomnia is obviously a major concern for you. I don't know how I could survive on only one or two hours of sleep a night.
Going to see an ENT doc. does make some sense in that they might be able to find out what is causing your tinitus (ringing in the ears)and what to do to treat it (treatments range from anaesthetics to anticonvulsants to desenitization therapies).

I heard they think it could be a memory block but I don't. It is true I came from a really abusive past but I remember everything. I don't see why they think after all these years I would have a memory block. Could you give me an example of what you said in your last letter? What I mean is what would cause what your saying?
