Janice, Luvox is an SSRI antiobsessional antidepressant. Having tried it, I found it be helpful in decreasing obsessions and compulsions (I have OCD). When I took it, the side effects were minimal except for dry mouth and inability to reach orgasm (although this seemed dose-related, that is, wasn't too bad at a lower dose).
