Hi Keith. Sounds like a rocky road. Sorry.

When I quit Paxil it took about a week and a half or two for the withdrawals to go away. Another option to make it easier than just waiting it out would be to call your doc and see if he has Prozac samples on hand. Most docs do. With its very long halflife, taking a dose every few days or even once a week can ween you off much smoother. Or, there may likely be Paxil samples on board too. Then you could do the slower taper down method. Either way, might want to check around your doc or other local clinics for free samples. The pharmaceutical sales reps usually make sure the local docs have free samples on hand. They're always looking for new customers ya know. Might as well take advantage of it since it's free, and you don't need much.
