Benzodiazepine debate: Xanax vs. Klonopin in GAD

I have taken both Xanax and Klonopin in the past at various doses and I am not in full agreement with the various BZ equivalent charts posted at this site. .25 mg Klonopin is equivalent to .5 mg Xanax? I always thought Xanax was stronger.

I would like feedback from people who have taken BZs for long periods of time for GAD. Which ones continue to work and which ones do you have to continuously increase the dose on? And what are the highest doses of these drugs that you have been prescribed?
