I just looked up the web site that has the abstract of the article on cyclothymia. I don't really know what rhythmopathy is either, but it appears that there is a line of thought about certain kinds of chronic depression and cyclothymia as disorders of biological rhythms, and distinct from acute major depression. I found interesting the description of how the research subject kept track of his moods, etc. for 20 years. It makes me wonder if I should keep track of my moods for a while to see if there is a pattern. I know that my depression is chronic/recurrent, but it is hard to tell if I have any kind of "cycle", or whether I have just been inadequately medicated because of the difficulties I have had with adverse effects from various medications.
