effexor and urinary retention

I recently started taking effexor in addition to my wellbutrin. Since I have started taking effexor, I have not been able to urinate freely. I just sit there and wait and wait.... I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem? and if so, Does urinary retention go away after a period of time? if so, how long?
