Wellbutrin vs. Wellbutrin SR

Posted by LD on August 4, 1999, at 7:59:14

I have been on Wellbutrin for 2 weeks now (100mg-3x a day), and am having trouble fitting all three pills in during the day, six hours apart. My doctor said I could go on the sustained release
(Wellbutrin SR) and only have to take it twice a day. I have read that the SR may cause more anxiety and jitters since there is an even level of the medicine in your system for longer. Does
anyone have any experience with either or know anything about this? She said another option would be to take two 75mg pills twice a day. Is there any difference in the therapeutic benefit?
I'm really hoping this will work for me, I have been through Serzone and Paxil so far (I was allergic to the Paxil). I also wanted to stay away from ADs with sexual side effects and weight gain.

Thanks.
