Finally at 50 there's lithium

I have been through most of the things I have read re:
medications and their effects. I have recently begun to
take lithium. It (for the first time in 30 years)has relieved my manic episodes. However, I have begun to convulse a bit too much for my comfort. I would appreciate some input about this as it is getting to be a pain.
