Susan,
Your post was way back in June, but I am new to this message board area and really like the info and pseudo-support it provides.I just wanted to mention I noticed your comment about faith in Christ. That's the key! We may deal with many, many of life's trials, but can keep above water knowing HE IS IT and all we need is IN HIM. Has this saved me from my past, my pain, my depression, my need for natural and medicial help. Yes and no. I am a FREE person from the pain and past, but still must deal with the repercutions of sin in the world that has affected me. Mostly, having my theology straight and walking moment by moment with Christ Jesus keeps me from ever spiralling down into deepest, darkest of despain that was all to familiar years ago. Keep the faith, and know HE is there through it all!

After reading some of the posts about zoloft -tiredness, munchies- I am beginning to wonder if my doctor is just experimenting with different meds and possibly does not have the qualifications for treating my "condition"-she is a fine family doctor but…if I really have chronic

Also Paxil is the more sedating of the SSRIs. 40mg is a hefty dose, with most people doing fine on 20mg-30mg. I would guess a comparable range for Wellbutrin would be around 400mg, which is merely a guess at the high end. The two meds are so different it is hard to compare apples and oranges. Wellbutrin might perk you up by day, but will likely destroy sleep quality even worse than Paxil. But, as you know, everyone is different and what works wonders for one is a nightmare for another. Hey, Remeron is wonderful for sleep, and goes well with Wellbutrin. Trial and error, art not science, best wishes, and know there are thousands out there just like you (and me) struggling through it all together. John.
