I'm familiar with this drug as a treatment for animals with Cushing's Syndrome from benign pituitary tumors. There, as well as in treatment for SSRI/AD induced anorgasmia, the studies are equivocal, to say the least. I'd like to hear anything you have to say about it, largely because (anecdotally, at least) it does seem to be effective for Cushing's, and because it's certainly been on the market long enough to have a safety record. I'm printing out your thread to take to my doctor about it, but wonder if you have any other comments, if you've tried it with your patients, or if you have any opinions about trying it with Effexor and Prozac?
Anecdotal evidence is fine, I'm not suggestable, my *NEW*IMPROVED* doctor (while not an expert on depression treatment) is not suggestable, and I'm always curious. I know that one of the symptoms of Cushing's which cyproheptadine is said to be very effective against is depression. Have you seen or read anything to make you think that it might augment anti-depressants as well as improve sexual response?
(Oh, and don't suggest couples therapy - we've talked about it and my vibrator just won't go...;-D )
