MA - Thanks so much for looking that up and posting it. My doctor must be reading the same info you have! I tend to get a lot more mileage out of medication (side effects mostly) than other people do, so I always have to start really slowly to make sure I don't fly right by the correct dosage. The controlled study data I read gave info on doses below 50 mg and over 50 mg - I don't even want to think about that! I like the idea of a single 30 mg dose - much easier.
I started AD's around the same time as you. Wish I had taken notes from the beginning, not only on meds, but on side effects and on my thoughts and feelings. I guess way back then it never occurred to me what a long road lay ahead of me (probably just as well!).
I'm only on day four of Marplan - second day at 20 mg - so I'm not feeling anything yet. Maybe a little bit of stomach upset, which seems to subside when I eat; but the weather's been so hot, I could just as easily blame the queeziness on that.
Your information is much appreciated. Judy

> The usual starting dose is 30mg to be given daily in a single or divided dose. MArplan has a cumulative effect and as soon as clinical improvement occurs, the dsage should be reduced to a maintenance level of 10-20 mg daily.
