> Is anyone using Ambien for chronic insomnia? I've taken it several times and find it gives me the most restful sleep of anything else I've tried. But as it's recommended for short-term use, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with using it over the long haul? Thanks.

I use 10 mg. every night and have been doing so for four years. There is an article out there that says it's safe because of the short half-life (2 1/2 to 3 hours). If you want I'll dig it up for you My pDoc is fine with my use of it. It's one med I wouldn't want to be without. No more wide eyed nights thinking grotesque thoughts.

Best,

Chris A.
