Jamie,
I might be the “poster boy” for Naltrexone, but I am certainly not da man…Here you go:
> If you had apathy previously, did Naltrexone overcome that?
I started with Naltrexone 25 with Prozac 20. After about 3 months apathy was a problem. I increased the Naltrexone to 50 and that solved the apathy problem.
> If you had any sexual side-effects, did it help with that?
I have reduced interest in sex from all the SSRIs. Naltrexone does not seem to overcome that problem.
> Does it allow a lower dose of your antidepressant? Or same dose.
I have been able to stay at 20 of Prozac. In the past I had pushed Prozac to 80.
> There seems to be a connection with its success being related to a synergy with SSRIs. Links discussed Clomipramine and Prozac being best. MAOIs questionable. Since part of Serzone's mechanism is like an SSRI, could you venture a guess as to how Naltrexone and Serzone might work together?
> Naltrex and Serzone?
> Naltrex and Paxil?
> Naltrex and Zoloft?
All I know is that Dr. Dante seems to indicate that anything in the SSRI class can be augmented. I chose to augment Prozac based on my side effect profile.Best wishes… Wayne
