Melinda,
In general, naltrexone seems to curb appetite in most people and to especially cut down on "addictive" or compulsive eating. I'm not sure how it would effect SSRI-induced weight gain per se, but it's pretty unlikely to make someone hungrier! While it's officially approved for opiate and alcohol abuse, its off-label use (aside from antidepressant augmentation) seems to be extending to various other "impulse disorders" as well: things like bulimia, compulsive gambling, repetitive self-injury, and so forth. Hope this helps.
Best,
JD> In your experience, does it have any affect on SSRI weight gain? I know very little about this drug except that it's used in the treatment of substance abuse.
