Sometimes, depression in bipolar disorder is called "bipolar depression." I can see how it could confuse people if they read somewhere that Prozac helps with bipolar depression.

Basically, my understanding is that if you have bipolar disorder (manic-depression) you should be taking a mood stabilizer of some sort, especially if you are also taking an antidepressant such as Prozac.
