visual problems

Posted by edean on May 29, 1999, at 8:23:00

Please help. I have had great difficulty obtaining corrective lenses that are effective even with multible Dr. visits. I have had to "stack" glasses at times to get the powers up to an effective level. Most of the time this occurs when my eyes are tired but it has been happening when my eyes are not fatigued as well. Also I have had to start using a magnifying glass even with a brand new prescription. I lose my place while reading so frequently that I take 3 times as long to read one paragraph. I have had three different exams in two months and all three recommended different powers---up or down 25. The first doctor put me at +2.50, next one at +2.75, the last at +2.25. I'm confused and worried. Check for glycoma neg with pressure and field vision tests. Any advice?
