omega-3 fatty acid

Posted by Ellen Brodie on May 28, 1999, at 5:48:08

Dr. Bob Or Toby,
I have read alot of reasearch has been going on in wit the use of the omega-3 fatty acids in helping bipolar patients. I was wondering if you or anyone out there has any information regarding this or has heard of any success stories. NIH has been doing alot of research on in and says that it has had some success with it. Does any one have any experience with it. I have started using it. My doc says it's okay so I take 1 Tbs a day with a protein drink. NIH uses 6grams. I don't know exactly how much they give there patients total a day. Any info would be helpful. Ellen
