The tricyclics are worse for some people than newer AD's and newer AD's claim to have less sexual side effects. The other side effect most mentioned is the drying, anticolonerginic effects.
If it was not a problem b4 then you probably will not have a problem with this again. I liked the TCA's and took them for years with few problems.
As AD's the TCA's are no better than the newer ones in the general population and Tofrinil is still something of a gold standard.Most people don't find an AD with no sexual side effects; it is more a question of finding one with the fewest/least.
