> I have been taking Prozac (60ml), for quite some time now. It has made such a differance in my life, as far as the depression, and has saved me & people around me alot of anguish. However,I have discussed with my Dr. the fact that I have No sexual desire!!! And have'nt for quite a long time!!! Also, I've gained probably 40 lbs. since being on it. My Dr. says the weight gain is not the prozac, I disagree!!! And so now at 37, I'm willing to try something differant if it means s sex life again and LOSING some weight!!! Celexa was the next thing my Dr. has suggested. How is it compared to Prozac in those respects ? It would certainly help the marriage, if you know what I mean!!! Thanks for any info..
You're weight gain is definitely from the Prozac. The nerve of some doctors that they can't even admit an obvious side effect of the medicine they've prescribed. I guess a crack in their facade is too much to face up to. Anyway, Prozac can do both things to you (I lost 15 pounds in one month!). It's one giant crapshoot when it comes to meds. You just have to be willing to play the roulette wheel...
Best
