> Just wondering how the EMDR is going so far. I'm interested no matter if it's good news or bad. It's always good to have input on these relatively new treatments. And how goes it with the meds? Any progress there?
Thought you had disappeared again. I did answer you but Iguess you didn't see the post. I listed a lot of questions for you. You can check in the April posts about 2/3 of the way down the page: RE: EMDR therapy DL 4/27/99 with reference to DL post 4/14/99. If you can't access them, leave a note and I will add to the thread and therefore bring it up to this page. If you can answer those questions, I will ask you some more. Next EMDR session 6PM on May 20th.
RE: MD and meds. Still in same quandry. Afraid to stop REmeron and go back to no sleep and high anxiety. But it is very expensive and the weight gain is a problem. Have not seen the psychiatrist since Jan. He did not want to increase the dose or add anything else. He seems to need his time for the large caseload of people in crisis. My 10 min was not worth the $10 co-pay even. Therapist gave me 2 names of MD's she feels work well with psychologists. They are both very busy. And guess what? I have to CALL one and get an appt. (sound familiar?) Perhaps I would do better with one of these, outside the community mental health system? My insurance will cover either, with a copay. How do you find a psychiatrist who is really good with meds?
Have had a few pretty bad down times in last month. Don't know if they are related to therapy or what. Will post more if you can answer some of my questions of 4/27.
