I took Remeron last year for depression; my doc and I choose it because of Remeron's slightly sedating quality for the anxiety and insomnia I had along with the depression. I recall that I had to switch to another medication (Paxil) because of the extreme dizziness I experienced with the Remeron. I could not drive and felt like I would pass out every time I stood up(bloodwork and tests showed normal blood pressure and no other visible cause for the dizziness). I gave the Remeron the old college try for six weeks and tried adjusting the dosage but to no avail. I'm not sure if this is helpful but extreme dizziness was a side effect of Remeron for me. Perhaps your dizziness could be from the Remeron as well, or at least the Remeron might be making it worse. As soon as I tapered off the Remeron and went on Paxil the dizziness went away. It was bizarre and I'm glad it's gone! Talk to your doc or your pharmacist about the potential for dizziness as a side effect from Remeron. Good luck. --Audrey
