I'm sure you'll get the same (and more in-depth) info from Dr. Bob's tip pages, but modafinil (Provigil) is a new drug for narcolepsy. It's different from traditional stimulant drugs such as amphetamines and has fewer side effects. It significantly reduces daytime sleepiness. It's been recently approved by the FDA and is available from Cephalon Inc. in West Chester, PA. There's a good study on it in Annals of Neurology, volume 43, pp. 88-97, 1998. Terry
