mri abnormalities and nerve distrubance

Posted by kore on February 2, 1999, at 18:55:47

i've had numbness & tingling in my left arm & leg for several years & no cause has been found (ms, stroke, diabetes, other autoimmune disorders have been eliminated). there are a few tiny lesions on my mri, right side of brain, coresponding to the sensory area. i've had severe depression off & on for almost 30 years & read something about scarring of the brain from long-term depression. i'm wondering if the parathesias (nerve disturbances) could be caused by above or by 15 years or so of taking anti-depressants(maois & ssris). my neurologist is stumped. any doctors or patients out there with similar experiences?
