Nardil, Parnate, Marplan and other MAOI's

I took Nardil for 5 years, it worked for 3 years and
partially worked for 2 years. I experienced big mood
swings on it, which ended when I stopped taking it.
Can anyone tell me the difference between the different
MAOI's and their side affects?
Second, what other medications can be used with MAOI's to counteract side effects or augment the MAOI's since they are so restrictive???
