tendonitis, bursitis, joint pain from Prozac?

Posted by Barbara on September 13, 1998, at 18:34:02

I have been taking 40 mgs of Prozac for four months with 40 mgs of Dexedrine per day. I'm 51 and just diagnosed with ADD. I had previously been taking 20 mgs of Proac per day for seven months. In the past 2 1/2 months, I have had terrible pain in my elbows which responds only for a few days to shots of cortisone into the joint. I have had two shots per elbow so far and took Lodine 500 mg 2xday with little or no symptomatic relief. The doctor switched me to Relafen 7502x day and we added 2 extra strength Tylenol It's a little better. Can it be the Prozac? Psych says it couldn't be the Prozac. Orthopedist never heard of the problem.
