Hi....my name is Tami and I am 32. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and taking Klonopin for control of anxiety attacks. I have been taking Klonopin for 5 years.
Before I got pregnant, I was taking 3 milligrams of Klonopin. I did go to a OB and inquired about Klonopin with pregnancy. He thought that everything would be fine since I was taking a low dose (3 Milligrams).
I continued to take 3 milligrams up into my 6 month of pregnancy. At this time, we moved and I searched for another OB and Therapist. My therapist told me I must get off of the Klonopin. He is concerned about the withdrawl symptoms that may happen to my unborn child.
I agreed with him and started to cut down. I was fastly approaching .5 a day and I had a small anxiety attack. This in turn has scared me and now I am taking 1 milligram a day.I am really concerned about my health and horrified about my baby's health after she is born. I don't think that I can go down any further without exposing myself to further attacks. I have tryed an other med called Buspar & this failed.....I had a bad reaction to it.
I have gone through the "triple test" and sonograms. These tests have come back normal.
Please send me any information.
Sincerely
Tami
