And if you were willing to answer the question, if it would not be a problem for you to answer it, it might help me deal with the pain. But don't worry if you would rather not answer. It is my issue I know and I take full responsibility for my reaction.

Lou's answer to Dinahs question -part 1 Dinah

Dinah,
When I was in The City of Peace, I was told, "Repay no one evil for evil. If it is possible, live peacefully with all men. Do not seek vengeance for God has said that vengeance will be carried out by Him so leave vengeance to Him. Instead, if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink."
I will answer more about your question, next.
Lou

Dinah,
Then I was told, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."
Then the Rider said to me, "If someone insults you, that is like slapping you on the cheek. If that happens to you, turn the other cheek to him. And if someone compels you to go one mile, go with him two miles."

Dinah,
Then the Rider said to me, "I say to you, love your enemies, bless those that curse you, do good to those that hate you. Anyone can love those that love you. You are to love even your enemies, and there will be a reward for those that do. And if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."

Dinah,
Then the Rider said to me,"Blessed are you when men revile and persecute you, and say evil things against you falsely. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for those before you were persected also. In the world you will have tribulation. But be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world and so shall you."

Am I to take it that it doesn't cause you pain, and that at I shouldn't feel so hurt for you?

Dinah,
It does, indeed, cause me pain. But I know that I have to handle it in the manners that I just posted in order to overcome it. And I do!
So, if you are wondering if you should feel what I feel, I say that "should" may be the wrong word here. Perhaps we can find a different word to replace it?

Should probably isn't the right word....

Do you have a better idea?

I don't know....

I'm not sure I even can feel it less. But it seems almost silly to let it bother me more than it bothers you, if that is indeed the case...

I just don't know....

Perhaps that there is no need for me to feel hurt for you?

Dinah,
I would suggest that you understand that what you feel for others, I beleive, is a good thing to posesss. For with your attitude toward others, you would not want to hurt someone else, for you would be hurt. Now when you see bad things done to others, and it hurts you, I would use that hurt to help others. Maybe not that particlar person, but to help by, perhaps, giving your time to helpsomeone else with something that is paining them. It could be to help a friend , or relative, or a stranger in need.

I do try to do that and it is an excellent suggestion.

Thank you...again.

But I printed out your very wise post. As a reminder to me when I'm not feeling very good about that part of me, or for when it is causing me pain.

Dinah,
As I understand your post, you are asking me if it is OK for you to print out one of my posts. Now I would have to say that it would be OK with me. But there is much more to that post that you printed out. Space and time considerations requirer me to make my posts to only say the main point. But if you see enough in that one post, then that is great!
Lou
