Hey guys!,
I'm a happy man at the moment!
This might sound strange but I have a very, vary good feeling Lithium is going to be great.
I'll explain...1. When a medication at first does nothing (ie no therapeutic effects) it usually turns out that after a fail trial it only helps a bit.
2. When it has a great early effect it usually has a great later effect.
3. This one's the best! When it makes my symptoms worse at the start it usually has a brilliant effect! Like Nardil, - it made every symptom it helped worse at the start.
Lithium has now made my derealization and phobic anxiety and OCD quite a bit worse. GREAT!!!!
'Cause I know it's going to be great in a few days or so.More study should be done on this phenomenon. Michael Jenike MD has even noted that initial worsening of OCD to medication usually predicts a good response.
I think I've seen some posts about this phenomenon. Anyone welcome to comment.

Good for you Ace. I too am glad you feel like crap. I have had some GI problems since starting the Lithium. May be it will go away. It has only been 1 week since I started. 300mg. Good Luck.

This is due to the robust AD effect of Nardil. Simply, I CAN'T, AS HARD AS I TRY, FEEL BAD! This is unlike when I've been on other drugs. On the last one, shitty Zoloft, I would have been in terrible pain, not joking around. But since on Nardil, I simply have not felt ANY depression. Out of all most 16 weeks, 2 or 3 days I've felt flat for a couple of hours at most! The only other time I've felt EXTREMELY minimally upset was going to bed. Cause I could not wait for the next day to arrive!!!!
I feel so grateful to Nardil.

Hmmm....I'll take that as a compliment!!!
But like I said in my reply to Falcon, I CAN't feel upset on NARDIL! Only mildly annoyed at the sx.I have had some GI problems since starting the Lithium. May be it will go away. It has only been 1 week since I started. 300mg. Good Luck.

Hi dude,
I fully understood why you were happy to be feeling a bit rough. I use that logic too.
I think I'm gonna get on some of this rocket fuel (nardil)too. Its about the only AD I haven't tried so I might as well complete the series.

I saw your name months ago and read post and made me laugh! I was looking for info on Nardil and found this site, but I am still learning to use this machine,and I needed to talk to you. Do you e-mail people found on message boards?how do I find previous messages? - I saw something earlier about an antidepressant comparison chart and I can't find it now, so I searched on Google and found one, but it was PDF and I certainly don't know how to use that. Is there an html list? And since I just found you I have since started Nardil in Aug and have NEVER felt better. What an awesome drug! I'm not sure if your refering to me or ACE in your post, but I'll try and answer your qu's.I generally don't email people, I just speak to them on a message board (although I'm not opposed to the idea, there just hasn't really been a need to). To look back at previous posts that appeared days before, just click on the period(date)before at the top of the screen. I'm a bit crap with computers myself.For example, Whats an html list?
Nardil seems to be the King of AD's for alot of people. I'm glad its working out for you.

Nardil manic (Ace) is here!!! I'm not suprised you feel awesome on Nardil - it makes my bones vibrate at times! If you want to talk to me via email, that's cool (only 'cause you're a Nardil freak!) pass on another message and we will sort it out.

I can't tell you how glad to have found this place!! To be able to jaw-jack about nardil makes my heart smile. But you had me confused with names til I re-read posts about a zillion times. So - nardil maniac whose house is nardil palace is Ace? and the "lady" is nardil? posted by falconman? And you are silly AND psychotic!!!I have been on THE LADY since 8/00 after trying 21 others since 1996. My serotonin system done broke. My dr. had never perscribed it!but I talked him into it, cuz I knew my dopamine system needed a shove. Since I am a nurse anesthetist he was OK with perscribing it even tho I am on: oxycontin 240mg 3x/d, norco 6-8 prn, internal pain pump with dilaudid (that I just found out Tues. wasn't working and hadn't been for a fing year!but that's another story). I was getting sleepy from narcs,can't imagine why!, so I asked him about ritalin. I, unfortunately, don't get that high feeling anymore(but since nardin I don't NEED it!) and rarely get much pain relief, but the point is the ritalin made a big improvement and THEN I FOUND NARDIL. Talking about a changed ooold woman!! (how do you save a post while typing? I lose them cuz the Enter button is next to the " key and I get so pissed off cuz it is usually a long post(is it trying to tell me something?!!) and I never can find the original post?) The nardil started working with the first dose and keeps on working at just 60mg. The doc had said he wouldn't give up on me and I was scheduling ECT when the miracle happened!!!!He has since retired,so I guess I was a good case to end with.
I wanted to e-mail cuz I found a program with happy faces and stuff & it's a lot of fun.

I have been on nardil since 8/02 not 00! Not that it makes a whole lot of difference, except...? Do ya'll think it's gonna get even BETTER??!! I can't imagine. Have some ?'s re: posting - what happens when I check "add name of previous poster", should I not check notify of follow-ups?, seems like it is not necessary since I check this board every day .
Back to nardil. Why are some of you on lithium as well?
Is there a way to tell, except the obvious one, if there should be an increase in dose? I have gone to yahoo as Jack suggested and there is a lot of info and answeres some of my "dumb" ?'s. I only have a little problem....How the hell do you keep up with everyone? Since I am overloaded already ( LOL) just by trying to learn this machine it may be better, if I limited my boards??? I love the ones I am on: pain.com, here and Yahoo-MAIO's. When I went to Yahoo I couldn't believe all the stuff on that site. Sorry to be off the subject, but this seems to be the place to ask.
I am still confused when you say "the lady" stuff.
