Amisulpride at Low Doses

Why is it said that Amisulpride works better for depressed states at 50-100 mg? Wouldn't more be better (300-600 mg)?

At low doses, amisulpride has a preference for pre-synaptic receptors (auto-receptors). Blocking these, the theory goes, tricks a feedback loop into increasing dopamine release into the synapse.
The higher dose also blocks post-synaptic receptors (conventional anti-psychotic).
