I have been on Nardil several times. For me, Nardil causes me to crave carbohydrates - especially bread. In the past, I have gained weight on Nardil. My doctor suggested that I try to eat only when hungry rather than eating out of habit or mistaking cravings for hunger. I've been taking Nardil for 9 months, and I have actually lost weight. If I were to eat now the way I did when I successfully lost weight, I think I would be able to lose more weight on Nardil. Abilify is the drug that put all of the extra weight on me (50 lbs. / 22.6 kilograms). The problem that I see described by the majority of people is that when they stop taking Abilify, the extra weight does not come off automatically as it does with many other psychotropics. I hope that if I work to lose the extra weight from Abilify, that the weight gain doesn't reappear once I return to a normal 1500 to 1800 calories per day.

I dream of things that never were and ask why not.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
