Parnate has made me feel worse, sleepy, weak, depressed, anxious, hardly able to walk because of sore stiff joints and locked back. I can't even get a plasma MAO-B level measured. MAO-A requires a spinal tap. Are the 2 correlated? Can we use the MAO-B level as an indicator of MAO-A? What happens if MAO-A is too low? Irritability, violence, self-harm, suicide? What on EARTH are we playing at?

I to stopped the drug after 8 weeks. Actually did not like the speedy effect after each dose. I was also impressed by the anecdotal accounts by some p-docs who claimed it was the no miss big gun. It seems many here have not had good results with this med. Yes I do realize many here are have trd. It can also really mess with your blood pressure. I would get spikes after each dose and after a few hours hypotension.
