I have had anxiety (was diagnosed GAD+Depression) in the past, I am actually BPII, and since I have been on Lamictal a little over a year, I have had very little anxiety at all. I've come to the possibility that I was actually having dysphoric hypomania.

I do take 5mg lexapro and 0.75mgs klonopin with the Lamictal so that could be helping with anxiety, but really it improved the most after I got on the Lamictal...herpills

> I came across some research (one) that showed people with both anxiety/panic disorder and bipolar do not respond as well with anticonvulsants as those BP patients who do not have anxiety. Does anyone have personal experience with this, tried Lamictal, etc?
> Why is it that recently I've had BP symptoms manifest only shortly after the anxiety emerges?
> Why does my brain feel so fuzzy when I have the BP symptoms? Like there is an overload of electrical current? Then after I take Ativan? Same when I took Kava (which I'm now avoiding).
> I hope this is only temporary. Has anyone had BP symptoms temporarily with no subsequent reoccurence?
