Deplin equivalent now available over-the-counter

In reply to Is anyone still taking Deplin?, posted by SLS on December 3, 2008, at 10:09:34 sells Solgar branded L-Methylfolate in 800 mcg tablets. Each Deplin tablet contains 7.5 mg of L-Methylfolate so you would need to take about 9 Solgar tablets (9.375 to be exact) to equal one Deplin tablet. At the current price ($15.50 for 100 tablets), this would cost about $1.45 per day.

Some people may do better on less than 7.5 mg /day. The 800 mcg Solgar tablets make it easy to adjust the dosage (and reduce the daily cost).
