Seroquel is very sedating due to its histamine properties plus orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure), I know from personal experience. If I take it at a regular time, say 2 hours earlier than I actually want to sleep, I tend not to take morning naps. If I let it slide, what you say is exactly true.
