I have had the same problem. Strattera works for the ADD (even with just 40 mg) but it makes me so tired. Can't take a higher dose because I'm petite. So taking the Lexapro to combat the fatigue. Sleeping pills are fine, but way harder to get off of them. Besides if you have kids it's not a good idea to take sleep aids in case something happens in the middle of the night. Yes Strattera does cause depression, I frequently would have crying fits and felt down. MY ADD coach said on the Connors test scored better than those without ADD. Personally the best luck to helping anyone with ADD is this;

Have patience. Combine medicine, relaxation techniques,exercise,proper nutrition, support from a close friend, fresh air, and a computer game to tinker with when frustrated. Better to play a game when nervous then dive into another bowl of junk food.

> I forgot if I told all of you, but I will mention again because this was a major "find" for me.
> I was slipping into depression (the fatigue type) every 4 days when I started Strattera.
> My P-doc had me chart my naps, amount of times I wake up at night and duration, and total hours of sleep.
> He figured out my sleep was so disturbed that it caught up with me every 4 days. I would then nap for a few days, be re energized for about 4 days then fatigue cycle again.
> Right now I am on ambien to sleep at night and I do not cycle any more.
> I hope this info will help somebody out. My p-doc said some P-docs specialize in sleep alone. He said sleep science is a field that can really complicate or help ones life.
> I used to be fairly proud that I can function on little sleep.
> I am now a avid believer in sleep is essential to a productive day.
