Hi! I am SO sorry to hear about your deep depression. I can honestly say I've been deeply depressed/anxious too, as have many on this board; you are not alone, and we really care about your progress. If you've lost 10lbs in 3 days, step #1 is seeing a doctor. IF you can't get a shrink, get a GP. Get a an appointment SOON. Explain the situation to the doctor, including the change in your life that set off this depressive episode. Make sure he/she understands the SEVERITY of your symptoms. IF you continue to feel you CANNOT function and/or may harm yourself, contact either an emergency room, your shrink/on-call shrink (if you have one), or the police (yes, even the popo can be helpful sometimes) immediately. You may need to be hostpitalized or at least placed into a facility for observation. HAVE HOPE: there are numberous meds out there that can help, AND therapy can be immensely beneficial. I don't know what happened in your life, but it has obviously caused you immense pain and stress; talking about it can only help. When you feel stronger, look into therapy, group therapy, and support groups appropriate for your issue, and be sure to KEEP HOPE ALIVE. I'm rooting for you, and so is everyone else on this board; please contact a medical professional and keep us all updated on your progress.
